A Tour in the spirit of the FUJI DECLARATION

A Declaration for the planet

I was looking forward to the year 2015. The FUJI Declaration was about to be published and this felt like an extraordinary event. It’s about a paper in the spirit of a sustainable live of humanity on planet earth. The inauguration was celebrated at mount FUJI in Japan and in Helsingör close to Copenhagen in Danmark. It’s important to mention that every single human being has to chance to subscribe to a commitment to live in a sustainable way and to add a contribution to a positive shift in the world.

Fuji declaration

We affirm the divine spark in the heart and mind of every human being and intend to live by its light in every sphere of our existence + We commit ourselves to fulfilling our shared mission of creating lasting peace on Earth through our ways of living and acting. + We intend to live and act so as to enhance the quality of life and the well-being of all forms of life on the planet, recognizing that all living things in all their diversity are interconnected and are one + We will continually strive to free the human spirit for deep creativity, and to nurture the transformation necessary to forge a new paradigm in all spheres of human activity, including economics, science, medicine, politics, business, education, religion, the arts, communications and the media + We shall make it our mission to design, communicate and implement a more spiritual and harmonious civilization—a civilization that enables humankind to realize its inherent potential and advance to the next stage of its material, spiritual, and cultural evolution.

I was looking forward for a critical mass in society that would take sustainability seriously. I was optimistic to shoot a movie with “normal” people. I wished to have a look into people’s life. But it soon turned out that the Declaration was only a model for living and the real “movement” was still preparing itself … until the refugees have started arriving.

It’s the end of august: The Tour is over. There are a few interviews that I was able to shoot. Feel free to watch them at Human Stories.

The Tour is over and there is much to digest. I am not able at the moment to make a conclusion or summarize anything. Personally I am in contact with stagnation and a feeling of breaking through at the same time. I feel all my efforts of the last years and “outside” in the world I can see people with a burnout syndrom, people with cancer, idealistic people and visionaries in contrast to people holding on tightly on structures.

At the same time I discover that more and more people are going on a journey again. They are leaving their home country to search for something new. They are connecting. They are weaving a new web in old structures. A new movement has started and there is no end to exspect.

Take action

I’ve organized the tour out of a heart wish to contribute with my little piece to a big movement that is on its way and progresses day by day:

I appreciate any donations for future projects and further explorations. You can encourage me to write about my discoveries of the last 7 years for example …
